Why I Blog About Learning, Leadership, and Love
I have spent 30 years of my life dedicated to early learning. During this journey, I’ve never stopped learning myself—growing, adapting, and constantly challenging my own internal conversations. Teaching children has taught me as much as I have taught them: the importance of curiosity, resilience, and the courage to see the world with fresh eyes every single day.
Along the way, I discovered that one of my greatest joys is sharing what I learn and watching others grow—even if they grow bigger than me. To me, this is the essence of leadership: not holding the spotlight for myself, but creating space for others to shine, thrive, and surpass. True leadership is measured not by how many follow, but by how many rise because of you.
Blogging allows me to extend this journey of learning and sharing beyond the classroom. It gives me a space to pass on my discoveries, knowing that those who take the time to read and reflect may find something that sparks growth within themselves. Every word I write comes from a place of encouragement, with the hope that it inspires curiosity, resilience, and confidence. Above all, I want my readers to know this: my deepest intention is always their success.
I have dedicated a lifetime to children, families, and educators—and I will continue to do so. Nothing motivates me more than knowing the impact I have on the lives around me. The world today needs more love, compassion, and non-judgment, and children—now more than ever—need us to lead the way. If I can help in any way, even in the smallest measure, I am willing to invest my time, energy, and heart to make a difference.
This blog is more than a collection of thoughts—it’s a conversation. A conversation about learning, leading, growing, and sometimes even stumbling along the way. My hope is that as I share my reflections, you’ll find something that speaks to your own journey and encourages you to keep learning, keep leading, and keep rising.
And here’s the truth: leadership is not reserved for a title or a role. Leadership is about impact—and every one of us carries that power within. Each time you share your wisdom, lift someone up, or make space for another to grow, you are leading. My encouragement to you is simple: use your voice, share your lessons, and step into your own unique form of leadership. The world needs it now more than ever.
I have always put others before myself. I know now that it may not always be the best form of self-care, but it is simply who I am. I love, I care, and I give with my entire heart.
You matter — and I won’t stop until you believe it. Life is precious, as is the time we are granted. Use it wisely. Make a difference.
